“Riding your bike up the steep hills of Overdale Park is fun!” proclaims Dominique. Elisabeth rides up them too but draws a different conclusion, feeling that “fun” might be a stretch. Dominique often rides to work in Seattle and Elisabeth rides out to Fall City to volunteer at Jubilee Biodynamic Farm. Bicycling is just one of the ways they stay in shape and engage with the Pacific Northwest. Dominique enjoys volunteering with his son’s boy scout troop, especially when they are practicing mountaineering skills on Mt. Rainier. The family also adventures in rivers, lakes and saltwater with their double kayak.
Born and married in France, they moved to Boulder, Colorado in 2002 and then, with three children in tow, moved to Issaquah, WA in 2016. Like many of their neighbors, they love being surrounded by greenery and appreciate the good schools Issaquah strives to maintain.
During all the “stay at home” time the coronavirus pandemic has forced on us, they have resurrected the raised bed garden boxes the Grisham’s (former homeowners) built in their back yard and are experimenting with growing vegetables.
