Heidi and Scott Scholz met me with smiles and countered my complaints about the cool, grey, drizzly, “summer” morning with enthusiasm. Having moved from Austin, Texas in December of 2019, where temps are soaring over 110 degrees, they are finding our weather much more livable. After 2 years of planning and designing a new home in Austin, and within 3 days of signing the contract with the builder, they looked into the future, asked each other hard questions and decided to move to the Pacific NW to be closer to their grandchild!
Overdale Park is already benefiting from their positive energy and willingness to get involved! Moving to Issaquah right before the state went into “Stay Home/ Stay Healthy” mode has made meeting neighbors challenging but they are friendly people. Heidi is helping to set up a Neighborhood Watch program for those in Overdale Park that are interested. They love how close we are to restaurants and shops and are delighted to be here.
